HELIOS 5G NR O-RAN Indoor Active Antenna Unit (AAU)
O-RAN 5G-NR, Sub 6 GHz Indoor RU Radio Unit (Indoor RU): O-RAN 8x split option 4T4R MIMO RU.
Overview
The remotely powered HELIOS 5G NR O-RAN Distributed AAUs then convert the digital CPRI packet data stream back to RF and control the switcher to PA based on synchronization signal from vBBU via FHGW/HUB, then amplify the 5G NR radio signal to the embedded MIMO services antennas.
Innovative Power-over-Fiber (PoF) feature enables flexible & simplifies installation for the AAUs through fiber by star topology, and all AAUs adopt compact & fashion design with very low power consumption, typical mounting options include pole-mount, wall-mount and ceiling-mount.
The quantity of Distributed AAUs required is dependent on coverage and performance criteria and will range from 4000 to 10000 square feet per AAU. Because each AAU is connected to the same baseband, there is not interference between them, simplifying optimization and ensuring exceptional overall throughput and end user experience.
